Keiller & Sons' orange marmalade has been my favorite for years. The taste is sweet but not too sweet with a hint of the bitterness of the orange peel. There is really nothing else like it available as it is truly a unique and delicious treat on my morning toast - with or without peanut butter.

James' own son Alexander joined the company which became "James Keiller & Son" in 1827. Alexander took over the company in 1839, increasing production with steam-powered machinery and expanding the company's product line. Keiller was reportedly exporting millions of jars every month to British troops fighting in France during WWI. The Dundee James Keiller & Son's Marmalade Jar is a true classic. This is one of the rare, earlier examples dating back to the 1860's, which boasts the more elaborate and decorative transfer. The 1lb size stoneware jar is a gorgeous mixture of natural tones with shades Vintage James Keiller & Sons Dundee one pound marmalade pot, buff white pottery with black printing, 4 1/2" tall and 3" in diameter. Possibly dating to 1920s based on "Y" letter printed at the base of the wreath, as well as the style of rim where a cover was originally attached. The Dundee James Keiller & Son's Marmalade Jar is a true classic. These are becoming harder and harder to find so we snap these up whenever we have the chance!
